Healthcare and data
Transforming health outcomes
With expanding demand and higher costs, UK healthcare organisations are under pressure to drive continual improvement. At CACI we believe that data is the raw material to underpin informed decisions at the point of need. In a landscape of increasing data complexity, healthcare organisations face the challenge of becoming information lead. By providing actionable insight to the right people, information lead health organisations are empowered to improve efficiency, the delivery of care and ultimately patient outcomes.

HOW WE CAN HELP
Empowering operational decision makers
Transformation is only effective when outcome-aligned actions are delivered every day in a consistent and informed way. This can only truly happen when healthcare decision makers are equipped with up to the second insight to provide evidence and to predict outcomes.
Evolving the way your organisation works
By measuring the effectiveness and consistency of treatment pathways and operational processes, you can continually identify inefficiencies and opportunities. Patient outcomes and the cost of delivery can be improved through the reduction of process variation, sharing of insight between stakeholders and modelling the effects of change.
Balancing financial and service pressures
By fully understanding the cost and income drivers for your healthcare services, strategic decisions can be taken with more confidence. By modelling the effect of service change, you can predict the impact on the delicate balance between supply & demand, the quality of patient care and the organisation’s financial position.

WHO WE WORK WITH
There was a specialty who, as a result of our patient level analysis, realised that a whole strata of their activity was not being charged to our commissioners due to an administration error that precluded its inclusion in our SLAM reports. Without PLICS, this would not have happened and has resulted in substantial additional income for the Trust.
Assistant Finance Manager
Synergy has given us the opportunity to analyse the data in detail and therefore improve the costing in terms of the apportionment and allocation of money, as well as start improving activity data where there are gaps or lack of recording.
